Divine House Detox
From movies and television, we’ve found that some people have a skewed idea as to what detox is. It’s not locking someone in a room until they’re clean or anything like that. Instead, it’s simply the process, overseen by medical professionals of eliminating addictive and toxic substances in a person’s body, in a controlled, safe environment. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe and serious. Even at their mildest, they can be extremely unpleasant. That’s why it’s so important to be watched over by medical professionals who have done this kind of thing before. There’s no way to make detox “easy,” exactly, but it can be made easier than it would be otherwise. If necessary, for example, medications can be administered. All of it is done with the goal of setting you up on the path to rehabilitation.
Our Rehab in San Diego
At Divine House, our residential treatment is unique. A 24-hour intensive care for folks who suffer from substance abuse as well and/or mental health disorders, it’s made for people who can’t go even a couple days without falling back into their old patterns. When we designed it, we looked at what worked in other places. So, it’s not quite to the level of partial hospitalization. That said, it’s far more structured than outpatient care or partial hospitalization would be. Usually, this is the next step after detox. Usually, this lasts for about 30 to 90 days. The duration of a patient’s stay, as with all other features of treatment, is specifically tailored to the patient's needs.
A Day in the Life
Group therapy sessions, delicious meals, meetings with the medical team, developing life skills - those are just facets of everyday life here at Divine House. All of this is overseen by licensed therapists, addiction counselors, and medical professionals. The specifics of each of those are determined by what is best for your needs and growth. That way, you’ll have everything you need to live your life once you leave here.
