Licensing

We are licensed and certified by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), meaning that our facilities have been found to exceed the levels of service quality and substantially comply with State standards. Furthermore, we provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS) which allow us to treat any medical issues that may arise as part of the detoxification process as well as provide treatment as necessary due to substance misuse. IMS is not general primary medical health, but rather a supplemental service that increases the safety of treatment services and allows for the provision of care throughout the long-term recovery process, as it permits the employment of high caliber medical staff and allows us to provide a variety of medical services 24/7.

IMS licensing also authorizes us to obtain medical histories, administer tests necessary for detoxification, provide substance abuse recovery and treatment services, oversee patients self-administering medications, and treat substance abuse disorders (including detoxification). This is provided, or supervised, by physicians with extensive knowledge about addiction treatment and the recovery process, who have been licensed by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board. We are also in the process of being certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Furthermore, at Divine House, we are proud to say that our objective aligns with values held by medical societies such as the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP), and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). We are truly dedicated to providing you with the best service and care possible.
